The Warrior Group Unveiled
Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and presented the first table of heroes who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team consists of the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
With an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.
Hence, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
According to the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear out of place, but the actions of the latest installment make it clear why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
First, the team understands precisely where to head next after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing kicked off the story’s plot—exploited the enemy for his own means, invading the secret base, striking the character, and stealing all the powerful objects to sell off.
Casimir then cleared his debts and fled to a secure base in the northern region, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:
- Thimble, as the close ally and best friend, seeks revenge.
- Kattigan knows the region and cautions that it is a nasty place.
- The warrior and The cleric, having resisted his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have no other options.
- But, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could assist the group reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, Teor swore a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are sought by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The rogue and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
- The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.
This means them few options but to journey toward the remote area in quest for the traitor.
Upcoming Developments
Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the Soldiers table will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight participants to assemble the Explorers and Planners tables.
Viewers can look forward to finding out which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
